I find that difficult to believe, the plans are plastered over the walls between the change rooms and the bar.

I don't think the plans will go ahead anyway.

From the horse's mouth. They knew of changes, but little in the way of what those changes are. They seemed most interested in the changes to the clubhouse.

Has anyone been able to work out how or why Woodlands is broken and needs this sort of "fixing"?

Beacause it is nowhere near as good as Kingston Heath tongue.gif

therein lies the problem at some of our best courses

if i got a copy, I'm pretty sure a member wouldn't have trouble coming across a copy either.

Pardon my ignorance Moe, but how the hell did you post this at 7:05 last night when you were catching a 7pm flight?

the snooze I had in the lounge resulted in my flight being 'delayed'

Jack, will there be a response to your question in post no 40? GG may not be a member.

are you gonna vote for it?

No vote required, unless a major change to the course or clubhouse is sort by
the committee.
Regardless if the MASTER-PLAN is used or not, the members must be informed
& consulted for approval of further major works, (as stated to the members by the
current Captain, 2 years ago, AGM. )
Jack, from memory that was about the same time that Greame Grant didn't re-apply
to stand as a board member, ( director of greens ).
So I think that alot of the innuendo about Grant & his direction for Woodlands is false.
The MASTER-PLAN is a guide line & one mans ideas only.

So, nothing to see here. mellow.gif

At least that sort of closes the loop, is there a definition for major change / major work?

Don't know, but the changes as specified in post 21 would surely constitute a major change.

GG33,

I'm a little confused here. What do you mean by saying;

So I think that alot of the innuendo about Grant & his direction for Woodlands is false.

If the committee has left a very large copy of a Masterplan up on the wall for all members to see then I'm guessing it's still a live issue. Surely if it was one man's vision and there was no intention to proceed with it then the committee would pull the plan down. Unless of course its covering a nasty hole in the wall or something.

Grants direction was also linked to drainage, as well
as beautification/change & to toughen up the course.

Not all of the circle of visionaries has been disbanded.
Grant has moved sideways, ( still a member ) others
still hold onto the dream.
Some are working towards a new clubhouse.
AGM in Oct. That may settle afew problems in direction?

GG33

Being up here in Sydney I seem to miss out on the excitement that changes generate in Melbourne's sandbelt.

Seems many changes create a lot of controversy.

How do you see the changes and the masterplan?
