i get tested every thursday   o.b   and everytime i get tested they  are changing everything.
i'm lucky one to be honest
i get to be out at all hours of the day  i get to travel interstate and still get a game of golf in..
however if i get corona  virus  it will cause bedlem in the herb section of the super market.
i am happy getting the test   , atleast i know i will be negative on weekly basis unless i contract it..

but will you guys know if you have contracted it

only if I develop symptoms. But no one in this neck of the woods has it. Only the travelling carriers from metro.

Hi Oz
stay safe mate. If you are in your cabin 10 hours per day, then that is minimal contact with other humans, and hence a reduced risk of contamination.

Hope this new stage 4 lock down works, although we have been 3 weeks into stage 3 restrictions and nothing has happened to containing the spread which doesnt make sense as thats nearly 2 virus infection cycles.

Dan Andrews looks tired and frazzled on the TV each day.

The reason it didn't work is because of all the covidiots who didn't stay isolated. A quarter of those who had to remain quarantined were not at home when authorities checked up on them. Selfish pricks!!!

partly true.

total test conducted = 1746910

total positives = 13469

= 0,0077

very good chance if tested that will not be positive.

so that alone will not explain the exponential increase in last month.

as 40 % have recovered.

lots of infection in aged care sector in Vic but not in other states ? why ?

Apart from people like Oz who have to get regular tests, the rest of us only get a test if we have symptoms or have had close contact with a known infectee, and it's still a tiny proportion who are positive.

As for the aged care sector, perhaps it was concluded that we have nowhere near enough capacity for the influx of baby boomers, so a cleanout was devised.

Sorry Jon, but 0.8 is 80%.
For 8%, it's 0.08.

Any news on what clubs are doing to support members who are not playing, or have not played since March.

Nothing from my club, just like last time. :-(. Few clubs credit extra months or credit 100-150 onto their bar accounts.

I would think most clubs are the ones needing the support.

Sometimes I simply wonder about how long would it take for everything to be normal again after COVID...

I think that covid is a very serious illness and I am very glad that we are already wriggling out of it a little bit, because it was scary to go through everything (((

Maybe it is a case of wear a face mask at Vets golf to reduce the chance of an infected golfer passing droplet infection to the group. We will all look better too! Other isolation methods would work too, such as play in pairs not fours, no cart sharing etc., staggered starting times, no car pooling. It would require booking in for your game, rather than just turning up in the day. It might make golf day less stressful for the office staff /volunteers/ caterers too.

The most important thing would be to stay away if you felt even slightly " off".

At that stage of the pandemic, self isolation should be voluntary, not mandatory. If you have co-morbidity factors ( lung issues, smokers, BP medications, immune deficiency, diabetic, obesity?) you would be well advised to stay at home. Age alone isn't a good predictor of survival.
