My old club insured your golf equipment including motorized golf buggy, new club doesnt.

Ive been told a house insurance policy may include the buggy or already does.   Anyone point me to an insurer who covers this as part of their policy, or other options....  obviously not keen to take out a policy just for the buggy.

thanks.

Ask the insurance company. You'd probably have to specify the buggy as sporting equipment.

I fully expect Keza to return in a day or so, and share his incredulous discovery of an insurance policy that does insure golf buggies, and then disappear into the darkness from which he came....

Or am i too cynical in my old age..

There was a small possibility that the OP was genuine, hence my response.

In view of the lack of follow up advertising, that possibility has increased marginally.

But the cynicism of you guys is surely warranted, particularly if you are interested in real fake documents.

Yes ive returned only to find no one has been able to help.  Seems that after reading many policy T&Cs it seems to me ...no one knows...other than you can specify the item separately in contents insurance as sporting equip and pay extra $, just like art and jewelry  OR get a specific policy for golf equipment at big $$.  Didnt persue this...  So we have an answer that it can be done.   Hope you get over your cynicism.

I am happy to be proven wrong in this case Keza. Just hoping you don't try to sell anything for a few weeks! :)

I think your research pretty much summarises the options available for motorised buggies. Might make sense for a brand new, expensive buggy, but by the time you  pay the access/premiums, i really doubt a 2 yr old buggy would be worth insuring. Am curious, what scenarios would you require a specific buggy insurance?

I have some friends who have remote motorised buggies, expensive $2000ish.  A few rumors around the club about these buggies going swimming on their own....liking bunkers. etc...  Yes a 2yr old buggy may not be worth insuring.
