Planning a golf trip with the little old ladies in November.  What do people recommend regarding golf courses on the Murray - probably staying in Yarrawaonga.

Yarra' courses are fairly flat (for the "oldies" ;) )   So is Black Bull for that matter.    So that's 3 courses and the Yarrawonga Executive 9 for choice.

As for nearby courses Tocumwal has a 36 hole layout that can be inter-matched for variety.   You might be able to catch up with Tochakka.  :P    Don't mind that course and have a soft spot for Cobram-Barooga.   They have 36 holes too.

You could also visit Howlong....you might see BarnEsy and Mads.   :D

If you stay at Yarrawonga you can also throw Corowa in the mix and it has 27 holes and only about 30 minutes away. If the little old ladies want to use carts at all the courses then you will not have problems getting a cart.
Cobram has ladies competition on Wednesday and Tocumwal is Tuesday.
November should be a good time to visit because it won’t be too hot.

We will be going on the weekend.  Though heavily populated by old ladies who will be using carts (thank you for that advice), there is also at least one attendee who actually has to work for a living (that would be me).

We also have our own comp for the trip so don't need to find a comp to join, which also allows us to permit mulligans and extra breaks for the more handicap limited golfers in the group.

Thank you for your suggestions - will take them into account.

Just had a weekend at Tocumwal. Course in excellent condition. Motel on course, good clubhouse for meals, pokies for those inclined. Everything needed is there.

You could take a day or two off work, or leave home at 6:00am on Sat.

This is a weekend trip only, so two games will do it for us.  Thinking would love to check out Black Bull and otherwise will see what people are interested in.

Don't know that it can compare with our trip last year which was Barnbougle/Lost Farm, but I imagine the options for dinner etc will be a little better than what Bridport had to offer.   Apparently we are staying in a time share (which is a first for me and a fair indication of the demographic profile of the others in the group).
