Going with 3 mates to the Murray next month, on the way we are looking at stopping overnight and for a game on Sunday in ACT seems like only Yowani or Gold Creek are available around midday.

Are they both in good condition and similar layout?

Yowani better IMHO. Nice tree lined holes with some water and variation. Gold Creek is within a housing estate.

I haven't played gold creek but I did enjoy Yowani last time I was in ACT

Not played either but Queanbeyan was good when I played it earlier this year, super tight with lovely greens. I just called & got on.

Gold Creek is a resort style course, maybe a little tired? Yowani is a members older park style course. I'd choose Yowani every time, reminds me of Duntryleague (if that helps)

I’ve played both. If you tend to spray it off the tee, the Gold Creek is probably the shrewd choice as it’s way more forgiving. Yowani is generally in better nick; tree-lined, more dog legs and better greens although they’re smaller than Gold Creek. Make sure you pack your thermals as it gets bloody cold down there - I was there for work on the 9th August and it was -3!

Biased as an ex Yowani member, but would pick Yowani every time.  Good course and good club, decent spirit.

Gold Creek is a great layout but often in poor nick and it is a pretty soulless place.

Queanbeyan is an underated club, would recommend it if you lived close by.

Be a fair while before GC finds any soul though.
