Thoughts? I can’t believe it’s been 68 years since the Open was played here. Looks as good and as challenging as any other links course on the Open rota.

A lot of the time delay was due to the security issues in Northern Ireland, the course is easily good enough.

Apart from the first hole. I don't think having OOB left and right on any hole is a good design, least of all an opening hole.

They other problem they had was lack of space to host the open, they had to build 2 new holes so that they could use the old 17 & 18 for the tented village. Also I’m not sure if the ob left & right is there on the first for members play, could just be there to protect patrons in tents this week. Course looks great & has jumped onto my hit list.

Looks a sensational course. Heard from a few that it resembles play at Cape Wickham , King Island.

I take it that you haven't played Lost Farm in Tassie yet ?

The first hole has a forced carry straight over the practice fairway, with no other way to get it into play and it's all OOB !
