Wow.....what a great "family of friends" I have.   I deeply appreciate the posts and personal messages from everyone.    This situation just gets imposed on you and how you deal with everything relies on what you've learnt during life's experiences.   For Rees as a 24 year old, I think it's amazing how he's doing most of it himself.   Whether that's the right way or not, in the end you have to let him do it, if he's comfortable with it.

As for Sue and I, we are just trying to support him financially and be there for him.   For this reason I felt for a long time that it wasn't up to me to tell "my family" but a lot of you have met him and I know how he enjoyed his time with everyone.

Thank you all...

Oh just stumbled across this Francie.

Please give Dr Sues and Beef a big hug from me. Cancer is an effinbitch. Crack a tinny with Beef for me and you can go tell the Big C to go ngitfarked. If he's fit and can find the time, drag out to the nats this year with us.

Francie,  I normally stay out of this forum so apologies for picking this up late.  Love to you and Dr Sues, and all of my thoughts, prayers and sympathies are with Beef and the whole family.  Like someone said earlier, it can really suck to be a carer, so make sure you two are looking after yourselves.   And may Beef's youth, enthusiasm and general lust for life stand him in good stead in this process.

I hope Beef can belt the C out of bounds. With you as his caddy it is almost a good bet.

Fingers crossed Beef is able to share a beer and a laugh with all his mates at the Nats.

Meanwhile you and the good Dr S look after yourselves.

Hey Frank, just caught up with your news ..... geez …. not good buddy, but, tackling things head on with determination, courage, and a positive frame of mind always goes a long way towards a positive outcome, and it sounds like you and Rees are well on the way.

Thinking of you, Sue and Rees … and if there is ever anything I can do to help, just let me know buddy. ;)
