Woeful work from Bruce, despite being back in the heartland he is still managing to pronounce his vowels correctly and hasn't mentioned "wee small" at any stage

Did anybody watch this on TV? I was very impressed with Zach Murray. I have a group of mates who made the trip over to Queenstown to see the Tournament and enjoy a golfing holiday without their other halves. Wish I was with them.

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you guys - and thanks - I think for the comments  ;)

Perry after 33 years in Australia I have had the edge knocked off my former accent but only the edge.

Old Poppy -  Murray was impressive - very calm and he hit some delightful golf shots under the gun more especially the long iron to set up an eagle at the 13th and what I thought was a superb pitch from behind the green at the last.

He was determined to stay aggressive suggesting to me as I passed him near the result of his wide second to the par 5 17th that he would rather have been aggressive than hit lob wedge then another lob wedge from 220 metres.

Murray was a fine amateur but not at the absolute elite of Australian amateur golf given he did not play the Eisenhower but one thing is for sure he has made a great transition to the pro ranks and now has a wide variety of playing options for 2019.

Very impressive
