Very disappointed to hear about closure. What a great course! I can't believe it! For the record, Sea Reef is the next best!

Saw the sign but didn't stop to see what was happening, kids too keen to get to the hotel pool... played Sea Reef which was pretty good, pro said that they had had loads of rain in the last 2 months that had impacted condition but it played ok, only things noticeable were a lack of roll on the fairways and the greens were on the slower side.

Queensland/Northern NSW is a proven graveyard for resort style golf developments and over ambitious clubs from Cairns all the way down the coast to Coolangatta-Tweed and Ocean Shores. Nothing new to see here.

Besides the scant local golfing population, who don't want to pay big fees for their golf, no matter how good the course is, there's the little matter of the weather in Cairns - either stinking hot and humid, or pouring rain.

Yep, a good formula for flushing your investment down the drain. Just ask the ****. They got rolled in WWII and then lost the next one to the white shoe brigade who really saw them coming.
