Not so, Rob.

Of course I have insurance. A few courses have wanted a form signed to say that I have insurance.
The course's insurance still covers their patrons, irrespective of who owns any particular golf cart.

Most courses allow privately owned carts. It's just some, particularly the more expensive city courses, that think they can drain more income by being restrictive.

The best way to counter that is to bring up on here time and time again that they have lost your patronage and how their business model is flawed.
I'm sure by making a point of it another 48 times this year they'll come around and see your side of the story.

Maybe if you stopped tucking your pants into your pilled socks you would find possible to walk 18 holes.

I'm an old fart and have my own cart, why would I walk?

That'd be like having a car but walking to the supermarket for the week's supplies and carrying it all home because it is possible.

p.s. I usually wear shorts

im guessing you bring your own beer and food as well so clubs don’t take more of your hard earned money?

Im not sure why this hasnt stink in yet.
IT'S NOT A GREEN FEE THEY ARE WORRIED ABOUT.
its an insurance indemnity. They and you are covered if you are in there carts and you drive it into a group of old ladies.
With your cart, you and the club are not covered. Even if you have liabilty cover for your cart, its not worth the hassle to most clubs

Very good point rob , I should have known my old corporate adage when seeking to understand the motive behind any decision ,,,,think LIABILITY

I'm sure he already has but why would you remind him of " how to reduce profits for other golf clubs "

Unless you might be or are referring to RGC :)

I have breakfast before leaving home, usually no lunch.
Most club liquor licences do not allow for byo, so no.

At least with Obe being at this one and if you're lucky enough to be in his team you'll get the benefit of his handicap so win-win
