I've used my cart at both Keysborough and Rosebud.

They've nearly all figured out that it's a good revenue stream and either want your money via a cart or they just don't want you to play at all !

Some courses reject $60+ green fee in the hope I'll give them an additional $40.  I've told them they're dreaming.

13th is a no too.

I'd be interested to know how much more fuel costs are towing a golf cart. Compared to a $20 cart fee I imagine you wouldn't need to drive very far to make the cost up.

Also don't have to worry about crashing the trailer into the garage door

Thanks peaksy.

I agree that, for a single event at Bellarine, there would probably no effective saving if I shared a cart. It's the principle though, they don't want my green fee.

It was actually the cart that clipped the garage door a few years ago, not the trailer, but that's irrelevant.

Im not sure why this hasnt stink in yet.

IT'S NOT A GREEN FEE THEY ARE WORRIED ABOUT.

its an insurance indemnity. They and you are covered if you are in there carts and you drive it into a group of old ladies.

With your cart, you and the club are not covered. Even if you have liabilty cover for your cart, its not worth the hassle to most clubs

Not so, Rob.

Of course I have insurance.  A few courses have wanted a form signed to say that I have insurance.

The course's insurance still covers their patrons, irrespective of who owns any particular golf cart.

Most courses allow privately owned carts.  It's just some, particularly the more expensive city courses, that think they can drain more income by being restrictive.

Maybe if you stopped tucking your pants into your pilled socks you would find possible to walk 18 holes.
