I wonder when the handover is scheduled to take place ?
Jon...

Do you have anything more to add to this or will you be changing your mind and tune again?

Heard of a senior's pennant event played at Rossdale in last few weeks that the course was very scratchy with preferred lies on all fairways. Is this a normal thing at Rossdale, weather related or just lack of funds for upkeep?

I was meant to play there a few weeks ago, but didn't. The fairways have always been very good when I played there previously. Then again, I have often played on mediocre fairways, so perhaps my basis for comparison is of a lower standard.

I haven't played there either so I am not able to help answer your question.

Played in that event and yes there were preferred lies. The fairways were diseased hence that ruling. Some fairways were not effected and played very well. Greens were coming of a coring and were typically bumpy. In summary a hard course to ever be rated in "top condition".

I played in the Ron Budge and thought the course played ok, Woodlands presented preferred lies the following week. Hows Spring Valley going, heard they have had off site secret meetings at Woodlands over past couple of weeks. Word is that many members aren't to happy with the levy imposed and  that staff cuts are a worry to the running of the house. I'm tipping they are in the tank when it comes to finances

They're friendlier than geese.

But yes, this has been going on for over a year. Fairly safe to assume that it's never going to happen. But maybe Jon's inside info will contradict that.

I happened to play as a members guest yesterday, it sounds as though they will be signing a deal to secure their future. Not a lot more was given up but certainly the members are very happy with the board and the work they have done. I suppose more will follow soon.

In March 2019, AGD reported that Rossdale would close and relocate “shortly”. When is the move?

I think you would have to ask Rossdale, AGD don’t have a lot of journalistic knowledge. They rely on the stuff off this thread!!

If that's the case and the members are happy, then all is rosy.
