Hi Degee,

If you are local I would recommend that you pop and see for yourself. Course has changed a great deal over past few years and may suit your needs, practice or otherwise.  FYI there is a great deal of change at the new Rossdale so don't be persuaded by a few of the disgruntled previous members who moved on a few years ago.

Hope you get a chance to check it out and would be interested in your view once you've seen it first hand.

Good Luck.

:D  :D  :D  :D  :D

Spoke with a Rossdale member on Friday. He said Crown wants to sell Capital for $60m and that Rossdale have been offered $120m for the land at Aspendale. The catch is that Rossdale would need to attract a lot more members (approximately 500 more) to make it viable moving forward. Club suggests this proposal would occur in around 5 years time.

Probably wrong info you received.
No need to get an additional 500 nembers or any members now. You don’t think every aspiring golfer wouldn’t join Capital. Better than any other course in the area.

Yeah maybe. Would definitely attract some interest from prospective members. Cant imagine anyone from Crown or Rossdale's Committee on this thread would be willing to qualify all the details...

Someone told me the neighbourhood members keep outvoting the golfers but that is very secondhand information. Rossdale would have no trouble getting prospective members to build up the vote if the future was at Capital.

Would you get MGA as well?

Interesting that someone is willing to pay $120m for Rossdale when Eastern sold for $100m in a much better area.

It must be a lot bigger?

You struggling i see.
Million dollar properties on golf course in Edithvale & Aspendale. If course was to be developed, multi million $ properties. Mean avg means FA when talking golf courses

Except there won't be a golf course there when they sell Rossdale to a developer. If you rekon Aspendale is more lucrative for developers than Doncaster Ive got a bridge for sale.

No wonder rossdale is broke when they've got members like yourself.

Will be minimum 30% green wedge around development.
100 mtrs from beach , 100 mtrs from rail.
Doncaster no where near beach , no where near rail.
I know where a developer would rather build & sell, and it’s not bloody Doncaster. Anyway how much for the bridge.
P.s i have lived in both suburbs

Green wedge makes it worth even less.

15 mins from the city vs 45+

Show me some evidence that it's worth 120m otherwise you're just talking shite like you have been this entire thread.
