Yes. If you are riding as well includes our Comp fee. If you waking then no not $120

Ps. We will never get it cheaper than locals can at certain times if the year or when there are specials So get over it.

Maybe we’ll see you in the weekend then

Same **** happens in the other states with the locals.

Madam

Looking at costs for this tournament.

is walking option available at 13th beach on Sat or a shot gun start.?

sunday I understand carts for shot gun start as some of the holes on creek course are 20 minute walk from clubhouse and then an uber just to reach the starting holes.

plus its a long drive from 13th Beach on Sunday afternoon around to Portsea on the Monday morning. its 202 km according to google maps.

why not just play Portarlington, or RACV torquay on Mond Tuesday.

Hi... Dr Furphy here, can I be of assistance.  I also have a mate who dabbles in household insurance, specialising in garage encumbrance :D

As usual everyone, and always seems to be an issue for some Vics and Qld when played in their states.

The fees are broken down into as many options as possible to make it fit to a few different budgets.

The course gives us a gf (sometimes good others the norm) and we tack on a $10-12 comp fee, and an extra $10 on main event days for the additional comps we have to run. We try to have a lot of prizes

Food offerings are optional where they can be, and included where they need to be to run the event more smoothly. ie shotgun start.

The green fees can never be as low as some locals can get during the year. We are a larger group and taking up prime spots on normally busy days.

If you are going to baulk over $10-20 difference than what you may get some other time during the year then this event isnt for you.

The ones that have made Nationals before understand the difference compared to a normal comp day. The Saturday dinner is about as funny of a time as it gets, and the general camaraderie throughout the week is not to be missed.

Anyway my rant over. Happens every year;)

For a bit of perspective, Curlewis mid week green fees are normally $50. Due to it being Curlewis Open week, for $47 you get your game, ISG comp, and Curlewis comp. I would suggest that is outstanding value, and the course should be in great nick, as the Saturday event is an Ivo Whitton event, and club champs start the following week.

Sure, I can get on Barwon Heads cheaper, if I wait for a charity day or play in a district event. As for cost of the ferry, it costs a bit more to fly and hire a car (or drive all the way) for an interstate event.

From Goldy: And just to clarify re the Vic OOM - this will be an additional event to the usual schedule - it is still the intention that we will have 5 other games in the schedule, best 3 games still apply to the yearly standings.

The other thing to consider - 2 day players (Sat-Sun) and interstaters get first priority for the Sunday. So if you want to be guaranteed to play - sign up for both days. Or move interstate. And don't come back and sook if you nominate for the one day only and miss out!
