Haven’t been there probably since an Ambrose day a few years ago. But I’ve always liked the layout.
Winner The National 2013 ISG Nationals
Winner 4BBB 2013 ISG Nationals
Winner Stink's 3 Club Challenge 2015
Winner C grade OOM The Sands 2016
Hole-in-one Growling Frog 14/1/17 5th hole 137m TM RBZ 5 hybrid, Srixon AD333 ball
Growling Frog GC Matchplay Champion 2017
Winner B grade OOM Curlewis 2018
Other, less impressive stuff...(I know...it's marginal...)
R/Up ISG Nationals 2013
C Grade LD Growling Frog 8/2/14, 11th hole, TM R1, HOF Patriot shaft, testicles of steel
3 Birdies in one round The Glades 2015 ISG Nationals
C Grade LD Growling Frog 26/12/17, 15th hole, Callaway BB Alpha, HOF Patriot shaft, same old testicles of steel
C Grade LD Growling Frog 11/8/18, blah blah blah,,,,this is getting to be almost monotonous.....
C Grade LD Growling Frog 1/9/18,...maybe these are now so commonplace I should just stop listing them
Never contended for the trophy named for me
Low Handicap point 12.7 9/4/16
Finally...and most importantly...
Smoldy....when only the best will do.

Member numbers way down, to the point of nearly no return and running on empty in most areas !
Hard to run a club that has only afew hundred members and they only pay acouple of grand average yearly subs to play.
You do the maths.

Goldy likes it.....although I do believe it was a place of a NAGA win a few years back.

May be a little too soon to bring up the term NAGA at moment?

Yeah...I think that's what Mick was alluding to....funny boy that he is.
Yes...I had my only Vic NAGA there. Yes, it was a while ago (2012 I believe). Yes, I do like the course.
And yes...I'm fine. Thanks for playing.

I’ve never won a NAGA, you probably have to turn up to win one.

What are your thoughts on the course in comparison to others in the area?
Hmmmmmmmmm, where does it sit in the scheme of things versus other local courses.
It's a typical parkland style course in the third-ish tier in Melbourne. Even though it was revamped about 13 years ago, I think that they missed an opportunity to make it abit different and something special.
When the work had been completed the developer put $20 mil in their bank account, I wonder what happened to all that money ?
Several established older courses around the suburbs all have the same type of feel and routing.
It ranks in a similar category as Box Hill, Eastwood, Keysborough, Latrobe and Southern ( back nine ) because of design and looks.
