Just looked at the draw.
Being at the back end of the field could take awhile, hopefully it's not a 5 hour round.
I've been having a great run at club level and only taking 4 hours flat thru-out the winter months so far.

Might be wrong with the assessment but with,
# MouldmanIcan'treadorputttheballguywithoutseveral3/4puttgreens leading the field out it could take forever !

The carts should be out first, so we aren't hanging around waiting for the pedestrians.
But it could backfire as we'd have a long wait in the bar with nothing to do.

I think you’d manage to pass the time, getting garage door ready.

I really don't understand how a course with a 118 rating holds so much trepidation for so many!!

Small(ish) sloping greens that are generally pretty quick.  Fairly tight holes also

OK tah.  So from CB's layout, getting to the green is not the problem , it is once you  are on there??

Fun course Dave. Most par 4s are tight doglegs. So easy to not have a 2nd shot into the green. The straight 4s are around 400m. 2 brutal par 3s where getting on the green doesn't guarantee par. Plenty of greens where the ball turns uphill. Generally over the back is dead and above the pin causes a tightening of the sphincter.

A classic example of how the rating system is stupid. Rating is done by distance and not accuracy.

In the Pro-Am nobody tears it a new one. The winning score is about 68, the same as Keysie but Keysie is rated 131.

Thx Rob.  Seems everyone is in agreeance that this is no easy course, so as you quite rightly say, why is it rated so low???  If the slope is rated to a scratch player and the Pro Am field can't better it by much then seems a 126 rating or higher would be in order.  Either which, sounds like an interesting venue to visit next year if the opportunity arises.

A low slope means it's generally as difficult for a scratch than it is to a 18 handicap.

The slope rating from blue trees is 123.
the par is 70 and acr is 70.
5710m.
every par 4 is a dog leg and 2 at x400m so they are par 5s.
it's a good test of golf and players love playing here.

low markers struggle to break 75 yet 20 markers can have 40 points.
