He is a greenkeeper, they are a different species and are known for ingesting large amounts of chemicals.

So I have just started a new swing improvement plan and it seems the both tendons in my shoulders are sore. Is this normal???

Yes. Supraspinatous is part of a group of tendons called the rotator cuff
In my experience (not that I do this sort of thing now) can heal quickly but can be very protracted.
I would use voltaren osteoease gel twice a day regularly.
Rest but do gently full range of movement exercises
Get your GP to prescribe Naprosyn 500mg twice a day if there are no contraindications to it.
Now past acute injury stop ice and use heat.
Ultrasound is a good examination. MRI is better but harder to get from a GP and more cost. Only if not settling.
A good physio can help. NOT a chiro.
Steroid injection can work well but not many docs apart from those rheumatology trained can do it well here.
Surgery is a last resort.

How sore is sore. It is normal to feel some soreness if you are using different muscles etc than you used too.

I know a good doctor in Albany Creek. :)
