I think Bump's point was it was medicated drugs that he wasn't aware of the full effect they had on him.

Not like a spastic who is aware they have been drinking and can't even see a garage door.

There is an alarming lack of understanding being shown on this site. Not towards ETW, I couldn't give a damn, but why do you and your mates continue to use outdated terms for people who suffer from cerebral palsy

and other disorders to label poor behaviour in others ?It's either through ignorance or lack of compassion but it doesn't look very nice.

this one tells me that you had your beers after the game

This one makes me think it was 3 schooners

and by you answering

to my question about for a length of time

It makes me think that you were there less than the time needed for the amount of alcohol you drank (even if it was lights) to be out of your system enough for you to safely drive home.

I am happy to be proven wrong

"3 schooners" was three months after "garage door".

I ask why are people on here so disappointed in famous people being busted for DD or DUI, they are only human, and we all know better than to DD or DUI, yet some of us have pushed the boundaries and been done for breaching 'common sense driving choices'

They are not role models, just happened to get caught doing something we all know we shouldn't.

Has Elin given the 9 iron back to Tiger ?

Probably hard for him to win tournaments without one.

I have no issue with falability of the famous.

Most young blokes playing footy here are not in the same stratosphere as Tiger.

The issue with Tiger (not this situation) is that to sell his wares he presented himself as the good family man, the face of golf and the hard worker achieving success etc.

He wasn't anywhere near that and so like any hypocrite, I reserve the right to throw some darts his way.

These days wandering around town at 3am loaded up on Stilnox or whatever.........I just feel sad for the bloke.

The word spastic or spaz was initially used as a derogatory term likening a person's ability, or inability to perform certain functions to that of someone whom suffers from cerebral palsy.

The word spastic has officially fallen out of use in the last few decades (try searching for Spastic Centres) because of this heavily negative connotation.

Given this separation between the word spastic and cerebral palsy (and extended somewhat to include other malais such as autism, muscular dystrophy etc and other forms of congenital diseases) the meaning and use of the word has morphed somewhat and now quite often used to describe dubious choices, lack of co-ordination etc.

Are you looking for something to get offended over?

Why do people go out of their way to be so politically farkin correct?

We all know that calling someone a spastic is in no way being nasty or insulting to any person who really is disabled. It's directed specifically to only the person so nominated and no-one else is affected.

simonsez, suggest it was a reference to Tiger using the word several years ago at The Masters rather than lack of compassion. But I've been wrong before.
