I guess the Hawks will be crapping their pants about meeting Carlton as well?

I doubt it. They're a lot better than Carlton. A very much expected result last night. Essendon's season will probably mirror Norf's last year.

Come out of the blocks very quickly then slide down the ladder from the bye round.

Only real surprise result so far has been the Lions.

Sydney with their late September appearances are always a few weeks behind many other clubs.

What did you think of the change of game plan Fages brought in with the Lions?
Do you think it can hold up under pressure?

And no, it wasn't a surprise to those who know ;)

The result was an indictment of Eade. He just didn't have them switched on. They bludged early and deservedly got beaten.

Didn't see much other than the start and the finish so no idea what Fagan's influence was.

Dusty has him well covered. Even Mitchell might be ahead of him.

He might resemble Kouta but there will only ever be one Kouta.

He's a Carlton supporter.

They really shouldn't be allowed to post in AFL threads...unless there's a "W" at the end.

I dunno their womens team made the 8, so 2017 is already a success for them.

As for my mob, its going to be a long year, I imagine we will be mid table just like Smergen

At least both teams wont have any injuries worries, heck probably wont even need recovery sessions.

It looked like both teams were still playing the JLT series.

As Gomer Pyle would say surprise surprise surprise.

The Longmire and Lyon teams were the lowest scoring of the 18 clubs.

It seems they haven't changed their defensive game plans and want to continue playing boring stoppage football.

I dunno

Bombers looked to have lots of players with intent.  Most of guys seemed to waiting for either one of their team mates to do something or for the bombers to kick it to them ...
