Almost - faeces would be most appropriate. You like faeces.

Faxes?

That would require at least two more faeces to make a faxes of fox.

The idea of giving or getting shots on the holes that your handicap normally allows has some merit, if I am playing off 10 and my opponent is off 12 then he gets stroke indexed holes 11 and 12 would make the match interesting because as an example at Toc on the presidents course he would get a shot on the 1st and then the 12th , and on the captains course he would get shots on the 3rd and the 15th and maybe this is fairer than the match play and stroke index variations.

This was Goldys thoughts as well in opening post.

The more I look at it this idea of playing according to different holes agree it has merit.

I could see how a club or even a social club who was trying to make match play more appealing or easier to play would favour this approach as its easier to understand for most handicap golfers who play lots of stableford games.

the down side of this idea is that favours the higher marker, who could get two shots on some holes.(ie a 16 marker playing a 23 marker) or where hole allocations mean a player could be giving 5 or 6 shots in a row.

Luckily nothing important is won or decided by handicap matchplay.

Except pennant
