Agree with most. Wanted to go but the price too steep. They'd want to throw 9 holes in for that price.

Taking my mum on Sat as she follows Euro Tour so is interested in seeing a few groups.

Price is high, was cheaper a few years ago at Royal Melbourne. Given few higher profile players who pulled out, suspect tickets prices might have been based on the original field..

ie Jason Day, Bubba Watson, Willet, Westwood etc..

Will probably follow the Irish.. McDowell is always entertaining.

Scotland might be interesting, think Knox just picked a mate as his partner, who plays on the challange tour in Europe..

Not interested in too many blow ins. Want it to be comfortable for the sponsors customers. Just like the grand final. If you have to pay then you're not really wanted.

It's just content for the cable channels anyway. Lots of the Euro tour events have virtually no spectators. Not required

That is ridiculous pricing.  A day at a major (not Augusta) is cheaper.

I recall chatting with Mike Clayton a few years ago around Huntingdale and he thought paying to watch golf at any price was too much.  That was probably more a reflection of a life inside the ropes.  He also wondered why people clapped when a player hit an iron off the tee into a wide fairway.

Seeing as though we've been denied the dream Aussie pairing of Robert Allenby and Aaron Price, I'd be watching the Belgians.

I'm heading along for a look on Friday, haven't been along when the decent guys are in town for quite a while. I'm not too fussed about $70 for 6 odd hours of checking out some of the world's best. I think with the large crowds following the Aussies I will spend a bit of time following Colsaerts and Pieters, can't wait to see them hit it live.

Colsaerts is good live. Followed him and Bowditch last year at Aussie Masters.

All I can say at the moment is Leish must be cursing Adam..... twice over shot the green and twice put him in the bunker.

My report from Day 1,

Was going to to follow my second country 'Spain' hence my nickname that the club pro gave me when I was a junior in north qld because of my olive skin..

Go there when the 1st group was walking up 1 after their and walked to behind the 4th green, and stayed there in time to get back to see me second country tee off.

And was walking behind the 7th green and one of my old mates sang out to me that I used to play golf with in qld for 18 years. So didn't walk the course as I normally would.

Majority of the gallery followed Scott and Leishmann as the stand emptied out after 15

I saw the 'Spanish' lads approach to 8 and then a good eagle putt.

They also had a 'snake' from the back of 15 that did a 360 for birdie.

But the from the holes I saw my second country deserved to be in front.

I got my 3 'Lobsters' = 20 in aussie slang admission

Also won a crome soft golf ball for my mate at the callaway putt. (Bridgestone E6 for me)
