An epic dual which has some interesting insight to Tiger.

In this snippet from "All Square," Tiger Woods explains why his ball-marking routine changed forever as a result of his 1996 U.S. Amateur duel with Steve Scott.

very true. Scott married 17 years! I wonder what he really thinks "if I only made the putt";).

Can't see how it would have changed much - maybe given him some extra confidence?

What a great story. I played interclub comp one time when my team mate forgot to move his marker back and his opponent called him on it, I was that absorbed in my own match that I didn't notice he hadn't moved it back. It spurred my team mate on and he ended up winning on the last hole. Also isn't telling your opponent to move his marker back some form of coaching?

Cool story, it goes to show that memories can still invoke a reaction so many years after. I wonder how many other golfers would have reminded their opponent to move the marker back.

Great story.

He seems more genuinely happy than Tiger and you can tell his relationship with his wife is REAL.

Money can only buy you a certain amount of happiness.

Life is funny.............

Thanks for sharing CC.

If I ever ask someone to move their marker I always remember to remind them.

I feel that if I'v asked them to move It I'm kind of responsible for It in a funny kind of way
