over weekend and yesterday.had very consistent golf rounds.

83 off blue tees ,par 70  slope 123 = 34 points

82 off white tees par 70 slope 118 = 35 points

82 off white tees in front of red tees par 70 slope 118 = 35 pts.

dont know how golf link works because it out but i got played to of 13,13 and 10.

slope adjusted played to of 11.9, 12.4 and 9.6.

the dsr was 70 sat, 69 on Sunday but 72 yesterday for same course with same pins all 3 days just shorter length each day....???????

can someone tell me how that works so

I can explain this handicap system to someone new who is learning the game and wanting to get a handicap..

and then I to confuse it more GA went out 0.1 to a new high of 10.3.

no wonder my handicap is going all over the place.

so much for consistency, Better off to have 92 one week and 76 next.

Simple.
Monday was all old farts who can't handle that course, so they nearly all had crappy scores, so the average score was down, so anyone who got near their handicap must have played brilliantly in very difficult conditions, or so the mathematics says.

Don't let facts get in the way of good mathematical theory.

If the slope factor more accurately reflected the difficulty for higher handicapped players (as most old farts are), they would have scored higher and the DSR would have been lower.

As for explaining it to Nelson, just refer him to the GA web site.

I resemble that remark!

Add to that playing on unfamiliar course that have sand scrapes instead of greens and see the scores rise exponentially.

I can spell reasonably well, even if in American at times. I cannot type well , so please look for the key I intended to use within one key of the strange one I used.
