Usually in a round there are at least 2 holes where a 180 straighty is all that is needed to avoid fwy bunkers or put ball in play. (your course 5th & 6th and 10th holes)
The understanding is knowing when to play such a shot, and more importantly how to just bunt a driver with control.
and also knowing when and how to hit a big drive when required.
And in any such situation where a 180m shot is required, 99% of A Grade golfers aren't hitting driver
