Wasn't aware of that. Rickie is aggressive and it's got him a few W's lately but obviously hindered him this time. I for one hope he continues to play that way in the future when it's all on the line.....like Phil.

So he has a two shot lead and you think he needs to try and make eagle. A two shot lead with two to play is tournie over if you play it right, he didnt.

Its not hindsight at all. Simple fact is driver brought danger into play left and long. Iron off the tee brings zero danger in, a wedge and a two putt par at worst.

2 shot lead with one to play...

Incorrect! Matsuyama birdied 17 after having a pretty makable eagle chip.

1 up 1 to play, and he birdied 18 too.

Being aggressive recently in the desert + Players + Scottish got him the victory so I suppose u win some u lose some. I just differ in opinion to most as I don't believe it was a poor choice. Anyhow.

Fair enough, I am a massive Fowler fan, love the way he swings it, but as soon as he pulled driver I I said "no"...he is a gun though and expect him to really challenge the best this next few years.
