Whats the standard way to remove kikuyu from greens?

This link is for a chemical to eradicate kikuyu from bent grass greens. Tupersan will slowly eradicate the **** over a 6-8 week period. Please only use the recommended rate, as the label is the law. Don't fall into the trap of putting a little more in to kill it quicker
, all,that will do is damage the leaf preventing the plant from taking the chemical in.


If you have warm season grass greens such as 328 ( tifgreen), tifdwarf, champion tif eagle, then use MSMA ( monosodiummethlyarsinate), full rate is 6 litres per hectare, however, applied at 2 - 3 litres per hectare at three week intervals won't cause too much damage to the couch, or DSMA Clear ( disodiummethylarsinate), full rate is 66 litres per hectare, again applied at around 20 - 25 litres per hectare, won't cause too much damage to the couch either.


Growth retardants like Marvel and Primo Maxx, will suppress the growth of the ****. Other herbicides we use are Monument.


Google, Globe Australia, Campbell's chemicals, Bayer, type in herbicides in the search box, they will have a few more there.

1. TUPERSAN WILL KILL WARM SEASON GRASSES


2. READ THE LABEL ON THE CONTAINER AND IF IN DOUBT, DONT

would this also apply to something like Yates "Bindi and Clover" killer when trying to get rid of patches of buffalo and nutsedge grass in my couch?

Cheers Ben. Our fairway grass is definitely not a summer grass! It's all native and most of the fairways have zero green grass left. I've recently been put on a works committee and have to deal with the super so the more knowledge i gain the easier it will be to deal with him.You may see me on here a fair bit more!

Don't they usually cut and poison a thin strip at the edge of the green to stop the runners??
