So Larry hits it 440 meters wkth old technology should happen more regular today with all the gear available. Next we will be playing T20 golf . imagine that a game of golf over in an hour and a half

They're already playing 'T20' golf in simulator booths - will be the next big thing for the attention-span-of-a-gnat Gen X,Y,Z mob or the time poor.

Actually, with the latest technology on offer, it's a lot of fun - until the drinks take full effect.

I would take an albatross over a hole in one any day - that is a rare feat even at the professional level

Of course an albatross hole in one would be best of all!

Back in the 70's I saw a guy at Burleigh GC hole out on the par four 5th. It was a slightly shorter hole then, but still one hell of a hit!

Not inconceivable, I hit a 7i 200m the other day, steep down hill (played ~180ish) and fast track run.

Surely holing out for eagle or albatross on a par 4 or 5 is more impressive than a hole in one, par 3's you tee the ball up perfect or select a nice lie. It has to increase your chances. Mind you a hole in one on a par 4 for albatross is pretty impressive even with the tee up advantage. Also mean from 100m+ out on the 4's and 5's

Has your question been answered? ?

I think it has.

A hole in one is possibly better than an eagle, but possibly/probably worse than (or equal to) an albatross, unless that was on a par 4 not 5, and also definitely or maybe in comp. No, definitely. But it depends if the HIO was on a long or short hole and if the eagle was from over 150M or maybe less depending on handicap/hole/lie/awesomeness. It also depends on how much you want to brag about it in the bar or on a forum. Or if you are a despotic dictator beloved leader.

Or possibly not.

Sure must have been given that green being so small and perched up on top of the hill

A hole in one on a Par 6 is still a hole in one?;)

Id take a Condor or even better a Pterodactyl over a hole in one on a measly Par 3;)

Way different green back then and slightly closer to the tee. I seem to recall that it was a bit downwind that morning.
