Surely holing out for eagle or albatross on a par 4 or 5 is more impressive than a hole in one, par 3's you tee the ball up perfect or select a nice lie. It has to increase your chances. Mind you a hole in one on a par 4 for albatross is pretty impressive even with the tee up advantage. Also mean from 100m+ out on the 4's and 5's

Same score, same level of impressiveness, imo. Albatross is king

I'v done it twice.

18th at Southern, 6i from about 160

3rd on National - Moonah, 3h from about 180

Both Par 4's and funnily enough both happened on my first round at both clubs!

All impressive feats, but a "1" beats a "2" on the card every time.

I'd rather a 2 for 5 than a 1 for 4.

I'd also rather a -3 than a -2.

Neither are as good as a 3W into a bucket from 250m

Iv holed out from 228mt with a 1 iron in comp for eagle 2. Definitely would rather do it on a par 3 cause it gets recorded and put up on the board. In the old days you would only get an eagle badge now you get nothing.

Hit driver-3 wood to a foot for eagle last week, the 4 points was nice but give me a hole in one anyday.

Roy, I wasn't talking about tap in eagles. I am talking about holing out from that 3wood instead of putting it to a foot.

I really think an Albatross is rarer and would love to do the combo of a hole in one albatross on a par 4 that would just be something to top your career off with!
Especially as a hole in one is the only way to get on the board in the clubhouse for holing out

Eagle is an eagle isn't it? Both 2 under par.

I have done a pw think it was 100 or 110m for eagle 2 and 6i from 150m odd for par and thats about it. Both at same course, just different holes.

Ofcourse an albatross is rarer, goes without saying I would have thought.
