Didn't play Tuesday - no carts allowed.

The weather was fine. I might have to reconsider my usual mode of transport.

Wednesday is ladies day - and shitty weather expected.

No golf tomorrow - carts not allowed.
No golf Friday - thunderstorms.

It'll be fine on Saturday.

It's bloody tough, I tell you.

Boring as dogshit sitting around the house. Went to a mate's man-cave yesterday and killed a few hours and some reds.

If this keeps up, I might go berserk and do some housework or gardening.

Hows the perfomrance going OB, happy with your progression?  What are some of your key measurables, is it solely hcp?

The only stat I keep (for a day or two) is number of putts.  That, and the overall score, also tells me how the rest of my game was that day.

Whilst getting a lower handicap would feel good, it just makes the game harder to score well .  Having a good time on the course is more important.

No carts at Warra tomorrow.

No carts for pennant on Sunday.

I might whip up to Traf on Sat, if they'll allow carts (much better drainage), or I'll go to Emerald.

If you go to Traf....let me know how it's held up after the rains?

I expect it will be fine but with a few damp patches.

I went to Emerald instead.

MMs aren't until next week, when it's July.

Any time that you have a day off and want to pop down this way for a round, just give me a call. But better wait until the courses dry out a bit and they permit carts.

If only the rules of golf allowed players to be on the golf course without the use of carts. Someone should really invent some sort of human powered way if getting around the course on wet days.

No need for such extremes, BumpyFace. There are plenty of vehicles/wheels/tyres that could be used with less impact on the ground than human feet. But golf, in its wisdom, will not look outside the box.

Golf really is a world for ultimate traditionalists.  Anything that goes against that which has always been is, at best, frowned upon or simply not permitted.  Lawn bowls was nearly wiped out until they saw the light. I wonder how long it will be before golf gets into such dire straights.

Or, you could walk.
