yeah you'd be insane not to find out when the cut off would be for membership start date at Rossdale to qualify for the subsidy.  Geez, I'd even think about it for the 10 year's free golf, and I'm not in that area.

Only works if they vote yes, of course.

I am pretty interested in the idea of a high level advanced practice facilities to be developed at the Rossdale site.

I'm not sure that would happen though

"When closed, the majority of the RGC land would be sold for re-development with the remainder being used for the construction of the proposed new sporting, cultural and environmental complex"

I guess the new sporting complex could include practice facilities, but I wouldn't bet the house on it!

I was reading this bit:

. Development of a new sporting, cultural and environmental complex (which could include leading-edge golf practice and entertainment facilities integrated within a new public sports precinct on a portion of the RGC land)

Email sent to Rossdale to inquire about any cut offs etc.  Figure it can't hurt to ask.

Although on re-reading the document it refers to membership rights as of 23 August 2016, so we may have missed the boat.

Would have to pay me to play on that Thomson crap for 10 years.

Rossdale members will knock it back on the basis of the beer is too expensive and there is no free courtesy bus to take them back and forth.nle

Unless you're a millionaire and/or off scratch, I'd call bulldust on the first bit.

Probably spot on with the second bit though! Could organise a courtesy bus yourself with the money saved though.

The non-residential bit will be the flood plain. Going to be very muddy football grounds. I imagine a driving range as it would cost nothing to create other than a bit of roofing and concrete. There is a lot of land that is otherwise unusable.
