Evening news reported that it was still 43° in Melb @ 7:00 but it was only 32° where I live just an hour east. It only got to 38° here today, but my aircon kept me cool while the solar panels paid for the electricity.
I'm glad that I no longer live in a forested area.

Stratospheric event over Anarctica have the BoM predicting similar summer conditions to 2003 for QLD and Northern NSW.

Its usually a 20 year weather cycle.
