Are you guys playing the Mor and McNeil team this week? I can't wait to have a crack at the bloke playing off 1, but we aren't playing them until Round4.

Nah.  It's us shag bags who are up against them.  They all have to give us about 8 shots each.

We have the lcgc tour this week. Probably giving 7-8 shots each if they play the same team.

There will be a couple of changes cb80 and the plasterer coming into the team from round 1 with long hitter on the bench and wozz at work.

What's the tour thing all about? Your match should be a decently matched pairing by the look of it if the lineups don't change too much.

Unlucky Rob, the format favours low markers in my opinion so it could be a tough day at the office for you blokes!

I disagree that the format favours low markers. As they use the stroke index it completely changes the way shots are given.

Example being our no.1 gave 7 0r 8 shots last time, two we're on the last two holes. Guy in 15 played like an 8/9 marker just doesn't put a lot of cards in. In a normal match the 8 shots would be mostly through the middle of the holes thus not affecting the match in the last few holes....

Yeah but using the stroke index advantages lower markers in my opinion, it has nothing to do with it being the last two holes or in the middle or anything as that varied widely between courses.

My reasoning being, I did not have to give Muffzibit a stroke on the 5 hardest holes at Sandhurst as I also got a shot on these holes. This is an advantage to me as I can more easily make par or birdie on holes 6-13 than I could on holes 1-8, giving me a good opportunity to win one of the holes he has a shot on. It is much harder for a high handicapper, comparatively, to make the same score as a low marker on the hardest indexed holes, which is what this format requires for a halved hole.

I'll be off 18 or 19 so figure I just have to play to 36 points.  If I do that he has to play to 37.  Plus he is more likely to get an unnecessary 4 point birdie.

Draws up for Sunday. Giving the lazy 9 shots on Sunday, 6 on the back nine and 3 on the front, all shots given before the 14th hole of the match when start from th 10th tee.

This will be interesting!

Well despite giving 9 shots I walked away with a 6/4 win shotting the lazy 7 over off the stick.

Gotta say I am really looking forward to eastern moving to its new home if settlers run is what greggy baby Norman delivers from a layout.

Lucky for ink that card doesn't go in as they would be 6 flags in 7 rounds post knee surgery...

Good play today Littleman

The plasterer got up to seal the win despite giving 6 shots.

I let team down today, despite hitting ball better than my opponent I  missed a few putts and that was it.

lost 2 & 1.

Darren had a nice round as he ahd a walk over.

Vison golfers are going well in this competition. well done to Shag baggs who halved with top team.

I've just realised that the draw is 3 pools of 6.  So logically it will be the pool winners plus a lucky loser to make the top 4.

Thanks to the Shag Bags, Team Vision now in 2nd place.  Looks like our round 5 match against the River Rats maybe pivotal to Vision's finals chances if River Rats beat the Ballarat boys in round 3.

Like FIFA we are open to bribery and corruption.

In the other pool Never up Never In have taken a stranglehold.
