Any chance of a Baconwide Tour Kooringal Invitational between OOM 2 and 3 whilst yourself, Krish and LH are all there ?

If it came to pass I'd raise my hand very quickly.

I find I get really good length off my 3 wood off the deck and tee, so I use it quite regularly in a round, As for not being confident in it and hitting it well maybe it's something to practice more.

I used to have a myriad of 3 and 5 woods.
But could never find a 3w that worked of the deck.

Sold them and brought a Nickent 2H. It was great of the deck, but iffy of a tee.

So isold it and brought an Xhot Pro 17* 4w.
Its an absolute thing of beauty.
The face is shallow enough that it's very easy to hit of the deck and its a weapon of the tee

Interesting. I would have imagined that anything I'm able to hit well off the deck, I'd be able to hit well off a tee... How do you find the forgiveness of the Xhot Pro?

I have a Cobra AMP 4 wood after my 4 hybrid (RBZ). It's playing up right now but for most f it's life it has been a very good option off the ground in the 200m range.

Probly not as forgiving as the normal xhot.
So long as you at least get a bit of the ball on the clubface, the misshits aren't to diabolical

My 3W comes for a walk...without getting used much these days. Sometimes off the tee...hardly ever off the fairway...it just brings the potential for BAD and WIPE right into the conversation.

I've had a TM 3&4 hybrid (superfast) for ages, and like you, didn't notice a huge difference in them. I now have a Callaway X2-Hot Pro with the reg Aldila green shaft...and it goes as far as the 3W. And is WAY easier to hit off the deck.

So experiment with 3 hybrids / shafts to see if you can get one that makes a difference to your current 4H..that'd be my tip.

Also...beware of accepting tips from choppers....

Who are you kidd

You mostly see me play in ambrose days, wasa....I have to hit 3w off the deck everywhere to keep up with you and Gaz hitting 5 irons.

Same, I got a cleveland 2hy recently , deeper face, is bloody magnificent off the tee , prefer to use the 4hy off the deck . I've got 3 and 5w that I couldn't give away

It's gaybrids v fairway metals so doesn't rate.  Unless you can hit a 2 and 3 iron you're a poofter.  I can't even hit a 4 iron which is why I'm sitting here wearing pink shorts.
