Let me know if you want to join Rossdale currently 7 day $1999 for 1st year and if I introduce you I get extra bucks on my house account.

Does that mean you provide me with free booze for a year ?

I saw that deal topcat. Great offer, Rossdale have struggled to match Patterson Rivers options for memberships over the last few years.

If I was on the lookout I would snap that up

Nobody wants their land being next door to the Pines estate but they may attract Rossdale members

All of the above is obviously from people who are not very close to the action. Difficult decision for the Rossdale members as they are potentially losing 'half' of their golf estate, not so hard for PR members because they can play at a better course subject to a congestive time sheet,  and finally the benefactor, Woodlands who may diminish there ugly debt. This is the overall problem in the scheme ..... how much is the Rossdale sale of land worth (?????) imho is it enough to for an agreement between three golf clubs to succeed !

I can't see what woodlands members get out of this. other than a busy course, that looses its debt.

so may members would leave, it wouldn't be funny.

surely its a just way of just putting the annual subs up.

I think you have it wrong.  The idea is to have more members and no debt so as to keep annual subs relatively low.  The cost being a busier course

I have a mate at woodlands who is jumping off if this goes thru simply because he believes it will be hard to get a round due to larger member numbers

Is your mate willing to pay higher subs to keep them out ?

His subs already went up when they changed the categories a few years back. When I spoke to him about it he said that there is other options that have been floated that sound better.

I don't know the ins and outs of it all I know is there was a vote on a 20% increase across the board that was knocked back so they club sneakily changed the categories and ages for each category meaning a large number of people moved into a higher paying category
