Agree Schmucky they are links style courses.
From memory there are only about 7 true links courses in Australia, including both courses at Barnbougle.
Arty, what defines a true links course?

Links land is undulating sandy land left behind by retreating sea. So Long Reef doesn't count, its rock. But then you need a links style course built on that land
Albany and Barwon heads the only old original links, with Albany well over 100 yrs old but they pale in comparison to the great UK and Ireland links - only the Barnbougle twins get close to the likes of RCD

Not sure about the Cut as true links. Terrific course with some coastal holes but true links? Not sure

Barnbougle dunes and lost farm in Tasmania are insane. Two best courses I've ever played
How could I forget - The Cut in WA as well as Barwon Heads and 13th Beach beach course are amazing aswell

Thanks max, I've played it, no need for the link ;-)
No worries.
If you have a look on the website they say it's the only true links course in Perth.

The cut is not a links, it is an abomination.
Kennedy Bay is certainly links in style, although pedants might argue it isn't a true links as it was manufactured with modern earth moving machinery and so lacks the natural look the old ones have. Splitting hairs perhaps, but there you go.

Ditto- Kennedy Bay - the truest form of Links golf; complete with double green; 'pot' bunkers and greens allowing for run-up shots.
And the 'hell' bunker on the 4th hole - "reminiscent of Hell bunker on St. Andrew's 14th hole" - apparently!
IMO, Western Australia's best course!

Links Hope Island, one of the most inappropriately named courses in the world.

Yes, well that was during Thomsons little phase of doing every course with pot bunkers ever if they were in Bali. Oh wait, he is still doing that isn't he?
