Hi All,

I'm looking for some beginners lessons in golf and was wondering if any forum members know where to get decent quality beginners lessons. I currently lives around North East of Adelaide.

My search of the forum comes up with an old 2007 thread:

http://forums.iseekg...ns-in-adelaide/

The thread mentioned:

Alan Telford (@ Tea Tree Gully)

Troy Lane (@ Flagstaff Hill Golf Club) (too far away)

I looked at the TTG club website and lessons are taught by Jordan (and not Alan)?

http://www.ttggolfcl...p/lessons.mhtml

Do anybody know good beginner golf teachers?

Thanks!

Vis

How far out north east are you?

TTG may be out your way, Highercomb, or Penfield... but if you are closer in, you may be able to get to Mt Osmond, or Stirling (aka Mt Lofty).

North Adelaide is very central, then there is West Lakes,

I don't think Troy is at Flaggy any more.

If you are a beginner, when you ask about lessons, ask if they have 'try golf' clinics. These are a series of lessons in a clinic (group) setting, and are a good initial grounding or introduction to golf.

Allan Telford is now the GolfSA development coach based at North Adelaide. Last I heard Troy was at Blackwood. Sure you will find someone to get you started - try Gary Masters at Regency Park if that is near you.

Thanks for all the information so far folks.

I live a couple of street away from the Valley View Golf Course.

Would the best approach is to go to a group "introduction to golf" session, or go straight to a coach/teacher for 1 on 1?

Do both. Meet people at a group session and accelerate your learning one on one.
