Hey guys,
I've been living here just over a year now and really started ramping up my golf playing in the last six months. My golfing buddy from Canada has been over for the last six months and we've been golfing at least once a week, usually more.
I don't know that many other people playing golf so when he leaves next month I'm on the lookout to try and keep playing and rather than just kind of randomly show up at public courses as the 'extra man' would love to join some sort of society / social group and play competitively. I'm in my mid-20's but don't really care about age, just want to play golf!
Just wondering for advice on the best way to do this? I'm based in the SE (Armadale) and have played more or less all the public courses in the area and a few private ones. Was looking at the GSM membership just to get handicap up and running, but seeing as it only runs until October not sure if it's worth it and I'm better looking elsewhere?
To get an idea of handicap, I would estimate I play off around 12-15, and looking to get into single figures (aren't we all...).
Any advice will be greatly appreciated, cheers!!
