It was a real privilege to be nominated one of the 45 most likely to win the ISeekGolf Nationals this year.

Exceptionally privileged, considering there are less than 40 eligible.. :P  ;)

It’s fitting that my post count on iSeek finishes at 3636.

Don’t ask me why - because answering you would change my post count.

Maybe it’s because 36 is shooting par in a stableford round.

Maybe it’s because two par rounds in a stableford competition is very good golf (though still wouldn’t have beaten Sisty on the weekend).

Playing thirteenth beach’s courses to compete in the nationals was a roller coaster. Very tricky conditions on the Saturday with a much more open course and finer weather on the Sunday to help pad my score.

At the start of the year I played a couple of rounds of golf really early and thought this was the year I would finally get some regular games in. Then life got in the way and I showed up having played just four games for the year.

I wouldn’t change a thing. I enjoy my life. I also enjoy playing golf with each of you.

The fact you are willing to endure my classically unprepared game for four hours (or closer to five on Saturday) is a credit to you and a gift to me.

To each of you, my friends, take care and we will be in touch of that I am very sure.

All the best. Ben.

Was great to hit it up with you mate

The only thing stopping you scoring great on Saturday was your first drives - your provisionals were things of beauty

Glad you made it down

As always Ben, it was great fun catching up and teeing it up alongside you.

I figure its about every 8 years or so that we have a game together, so who knows, by the time our next game rolls around, the Blue boys could well have won a flag …..
