It's short but with a water crossing and a reasonably tight fairway it's not a gimme

Was a great putt for eagle from off the green

Congratulations on the eagle and breaking 80 for the first time

Played Glades yesterday. Played fairly well, but struggled with distance control with my wedges and chipping around the green, which cost me a few shots. 1 really bad tee shot cost me as well.

Overall i was pretty happy with the round

FIR - 50% 7/14

GIR- 39% 7/18

Putts - 31

Did end up with 2 NTPs for an 8 iron and 6 iron shots that were really good. So pretty happy with that. The things I've been working on have been paying off lately, so it's encouraging. HC down to 13.7 and heading in the right direction.

Over the last couple of weeks, the game has been on a steady improve. Following Glades ended up playing Gailes and I tried a few things with my driver that didn't work, but managed to get 34 points. On the front nine, I played well, just didn't sink any putts, and the back nine, I tried to use my driver but struggled. So all in all, 34 points when I trying a few things, was pretty good.

Caloundra this last weekend just went, and I really enjoyed the course. The greens were some of the best this year and considering we have had a tonne of rain, the course was in really good condition. I had a lesson on Monday last week, and my setup was tweaked a bit to have me more upright and balanced. It worked well with my driver, where I had a consistent high draw. I averaged just over 250m for the day, with my big misses being not that big for me, and mostly just off the fairway. The bad part was I blocked nearly every approach. My stats for the day didn't look good but scored well enough.

FIR: 5/13 - some where only just off. Only one I didnt have a shot at the green

GIR: 3/18 - 2 of these were NTPs for the day as well.

Putts: 30 Putts - no 3 putt, 6 one putts.

Score - 39 points (should of been 40, but stuffed around with a putt on the last from 2 feet that I shouldn't have.)

Thats now 3 rounds in the last 4 I have beaten my handicap and slowly coming down. At 12.9 now, and setting a target of below 12.

haha - yeah i thought 39 might be good for top 3, especially those greens. It was also because we were laughing about my stupidity the last hole that cost me tying with Beard.

It appears 40 odd points is the winning score nowadays

Played Oxley yesterday in very hot conditions. The course was in pretty good shape and the greens were really good. They were very firm with some of the cups cut in some pretty hard positions.

My swing at the moment is feeling better and better each week and my driver is becoming more consistent. Standing closer to the ball and being more upright has felt a bit weird, but is coming together nicely.

So yesterday, i thought i was in for great round, with all my no shot holes were on the front nine and I was 4 over off the stick, and I was striking it well enough, just leaving myself huge first putts, so I was happy to getting away with 2 putts per hole in those circumstances. The back 9 though I started to lose it, first was a 4 putt, then 3 putt, and then a wipe. I ended up finishing with 19 points out (38 off the stick) and then 17 points (47 off the stick). The last 5 holes, i really fell apart with double, bogey, triple, birdie, triple.

FIR: 5 /14 - but some were just off

GIR: 7/18

Putts: 35 (including 1 x 4putt and 2 x 3 putts in the last 5 holes)

2 wipes in the last 3 holes really halted my progress, but I think the heat played a big part in that.

New Handicap, down .3 to 12.6 now. Under 12 is feeling closer as well.
