Hi,

I apologise upfront if this question has been asked before, but i couldn't find an answer on here.

I'm quiet new to golf, and have yet to really play at a club (due to work commitments i have to move soon) so I haven't asked there yet, how do you enter into the Pro Am tournaments? Are they open to any one with a AGU?

The tournaments im talking about are listed on the pga site http://events.pga.or...au/?page_id=94

Thanks in advance.

as an amateur you would need an AGU hcp. You would then need to contact the club holding the event and see what their requirement were to get a start. From my experience in the NSW rural area I can generally get a start just by ringing the club. Bigger clubs will have more members and therefore they should get priority.

it may work differently in other states or in the " big smoke" but thats my experience.

sometimes they are good days and other times they arent. always depends on the attitude of the pro/s that you happen to get in your group. some are fantastic, others are selfish and ignorant. Just like all cross sections of people i guess

Thanks Kenny,

I thought that would be the case, just wanted to clarify this.
