Played Bungool course earlier this week. Definitively grown in now, but probably too much. Accuracy is key to the course, some of the holes get a bit narrow, but it is more the rough if slightly off line, which can be very penal. Impossible to find the ball. Reminds me of most of the other Harrison designs, big bold bunkers, undulating greens and penal if off line. Have noticed other clubs he has been involved with (Settlers Run, Stonecutters Ridge, The Vintage and Sanctuary Lakes), some of these started widening the lines a bit or cutting back secondary rough, to help speed up play.

Greens were quite slow, very grainy. 13th green had bare patches in the middle. Putting over sand which was quite bumpy and causing issues. Some great holes there though, with a lot of risk reward on shots.

Not in a hurry to return, just a bit too far out from the city. Also having played The National Moonah course the week before, it was always going to be hard to impress.

Fulfilling my dream to play Australia's Top 100
