I have a 13* wood (Exotics CB1) if you want to hit it low into the wind.
Grip it down and rip it.
Will put a S shaft in for you as well.

I have two x 2 hybrids (Nike & Ping). Both are 21 degrees. I carry both. The Nike is a low spinning, low launching rocket off the tee (good for cutting through wind). The Ping is a higher spinning, higher launching (softer landing) club that is good off the tee, out of the rough & for going for the green (due to soft landing). At this stage I don't carry a 3 wood. The hybrids are much easier to hit. I get anywhere from 200 - 220m from the 2 hybrid(s).

You have a non Nike club in your bag?
Not having a 3 wood is an option more people should look at.
Most people will be more consistent off the deck with a low lofted hybrid than a 3 wood.
I carry a 4 wood instead of a 3 wood.

I game a 1 hybrid (15.5 degrees). I decided to give it a go when I couldn't decide if I wanted a 2 hybrid or 3 wood. It works for me. Consistent 200-210m making machine.

I have just bought a second hand 17 degree 2 hybrid that I will be trying out for the first time tomorrow. Never hit a hybrid before so am looking forward to trying it. I currently carry a 1-3-5 wood but not sure whether to replace the 5wood or 3 iron with the hybrid - probably the latter.I need to lose a club to stay legal either way.

I used to carry a 3i but the percentage bad shots simply got too much. Yeah, it felt good when I hit it correctly, but to shoot well, it was just too much of a risk. So, I finally replaced it with a hybrid that actually hits the ball about 5-10 yards longer.
I have practiced with it enough to be able to be able to turn it either direction with much more success than even getting the 3i close. So, I have to say, standing over a ball armed with a hybrid that does pretty much what I want it to do as opposed to a 3i that does 1/2 (or less) of what I want it to do is pretty comforting.

Is there any other kind? I thought that's what the internet's for - filling in time between drinks.was doing some drunk buying on ebay

Btw - imho, if there's ever a question where a possible answer is 'buy another club', then I think that's the only answer worth a damn. And a related tip for my fellow married folk - always easier to ask for forgiveness than permission.
