I remembered these, think I posted some of them in Weets' thread sometime back too:

Pitching: https://iseekgolf.co...pitching-set-up

Chipping: https://iseekgolf.co...chipping-set-up

Using 'bounce': https://iseekgolf.co...unce-in-bunkers

Using a 'towel' for landing zone: https://iseekgolf.co...ing-towel-drill

Bump n run vs chip: https://iseekgolf.co...tch-vs-bump-run

Bunkers: https://iseekgolf.co...unker-technique

Plenty more there under 'instruction' on the main website. Have a look and let us know what works for you!

Hey guys,
long time no post. Been a ridiculously stupid 12 months in my life as a golfer since I last posted.

Here's the story:
Swing was going super and my handicap was starting to go down. I also getting lessons and they were going great too.
Early 2018 I hit a shot fat and felt the vibration go through my body. I was a little sore after the round and didn't think much of it. A few hours later and it felt like I was having a heart attack. I didn't go to the hospital but let it go. The pain kept coming and going and I finally decided to get it looked at. Cardiologist, doctors, blood tests etc and finally got diagnosed with torn rib muscles.

Started physio and I couldn't make progress. It took me the best part of six months to finally be pain free. But even then swinging a golf club was painful. After a hole or two I was done.

Finally started to get a few rounds in September ish but then got married and went on a two month holiday.

So here I am, finally injury free and back playing. It's been a long road and the whole saga has knocked me around but I'm keen to pick up where I left off.

Comp on Friday delivered 36 points. Had a lesson on saturday and my swing is the best it's ever looked. I can't wait to see what 2019 delivers. I feel I can't wipe 2-5 shots off my GA this year.

Can't wait to share my journey again.

Just a little update. Been playing pretty consistently recently and my game is starting to come back.

Vic Open Pro Am - Not much to write home about here. The format meant we basically took the Pros tee shot on every hole. Still hit my shots off the tee. Driver was wayward, but three wood was hit very well.

Nine holes at Geelong on Monday. Very good round for me, made about four pars, four bogeys and a double.

Portarlington Pro Am today. Unbelievably tough conditions. 40kmhr winds with rain. A real grind. Walked off with 30 points. Leading Pro was -2 with another two at -1. The rest were par or worse. One Pro was +18. Speaks to the conditions a bit.

Best 30 point round I've ever had. Could easily have been 40 if I putted well. Bit of a walk through of the round.

1 - On in two. Long birdie putt left short. Easy par putt left short. Three putts total for a 5/2

2- Right off tee. Bunt to front of green. Three putts. 5/1

3 - On in three. Miss easy par putt. 5/3.

Solid through 4 and 5. Three putt on 6 for 6/2.

7 - Second shot to front of green. Turns out myself and another bloke were playing the same ball with the same number. He had a different mark to me which I didn't see. Penalty. Pick up.

8 - On in two. Three putt. 5/2

9 - On in three. Three putt 6/2.

10/11 - Nothing interesting.

12 - Beautiful drive. Second shot went right. Short chip. Second chip onto green. two putts 6/1.

13 - Short par four. Chip on. Drain birdie putt (finally!!!)

14 - Long par four. 80m out for third shot. Duff chip. Skinny Chip. Too much on the chip. Miss putt for a point.

15 - Perfect drive. 5 iron into greenside bunker. Chip out a little skinny. Poor chip. three putt. 7/1.

16. Direct into wind. Flushed my 7 iron just 90m!! 6/1

17 - Par three. Long off tee. Chip on. One putt 3/3!

18 - Decent tee shot. Second shot to just short of green. Nice chip shot gets blown off the green. Chip back on. Two putts. 6/1.

Lots of shots left out there which is a shame, but my ball striking is definitely the best its been. I feel a REALLY good round isn't too far away.
