Trafalgar. 90mins from the CBD and $25 to play.
Worth the drive IMO

I’d have to agree with you there, Divot’. It’s only 55 min from Berwick. :-)

It certainly is a nice track. Having moved to from the Marsh to Traf and now being a member there, I think I'm going to get fit wandering up and down them there hills though!

Certainly am. Missus is working at the Morwell shire. So I commute with out looking into the sun (from the east not west now) I've only played the front 9 so far. But geez the fairways are nice and the layout is a really good test. We'll have to tee up a hit some time?

I'll check with the better half but it sounds like a goer. What time do you guys usually hit off? I spoke with Rebecca the other day and it sounded like after 10 it was pretty casual in regards to to tee times.

There seems to be a 'lull' around 9am, on medal days, where there isn't anyone arriving for 15 minutes or so. (Don't know why) We usually hit off around then but it can be anytime from about 8.30 onwards that we hit off. Believe me you aren't held up very long, so anytime is good because if there a few there you can have a hit in the nett, on the range, a putt or a beer while you are waiting. "The First" Will there be more transitions? You planning a move? Property is actually pretty cheap here waaay out in the sticks. We'll have to get you down for a hit at somestage. Apparently membership is a little cheaper than your current course of choice as well.

I'm not a member at Traf, but my brother lives in the town so I go down and have a social hit with him from time to time. It always baffles me that such a quality course is as quiet as it is. I love being able to rock up about midday on a Saturday and walk straight on and barely see another person all day. I think I've said it before- but if Traf was a Melbourne metro course it'd be nearly impossible to get a hit on. For me, the 90 minute drive is 100% worth it.

Cerberus Golf Club is cheap to play and usually pretty quiet, even on weekends. Good course and is in great nick at the minute.

I love Goonawarra and Phillip Island. Phillip Island might/might not just make the 2 hr limit. Both in great condition, a reasonable price and reasonably available.

Try Garfield only 20 minutes from Berwick, $15. Midweek -$22 Weekends &Public Holidays.Course is in best condition since before the drought, legend couch fairways and even paced greens( a couple that will test even the best putters.) Not the longest of courses with 6 par 3's makes for an interesting game
