Would be interested to know what curlewis is like now. It struggled in the drought but they have access to water now. It was always a good long track.

Curlewis is in really good nick at the moment. Fairways are better than they were pre drought, even with new water system not fully online. Greens are good, will hopefully get even better from having as much water as they need. Greens maintenance happening in the first week of November (I think) Course is playing long, with greatly reduced run from the past few years, but with invariably good lies on the fairway. There's a bit of a buzz about the place at the moment.

I'll add a vote for Curlewis, and if you drive a further 10 mins down the road you could do worse than having a bash at Portarlington. For those who may have played there before, they've recently remodelled the 2nd green and added bunkering on 13. They're also in the process of creating an entirely new 12th hole.

Trafalgar. 90mins from the CBD and $25 to play. Worth the drive IMO Others that meet the $30 max midweek are Yarramabat ($28 mid-week, $31 w/e) and Melton Valley (21.50 mid-week, $30.50 w/e). Both good courses for the cost for mine

I'd have to agree with you there, Divot'. It's only 55 min from Berwick. :-)
