Ok, Nick Faldo said its a great hole so it should be in the list.

Hole 13 Par 3

Tiger (Black) Tees 160m

Medal Tees 160m

Ladies Tees 119m

This is one of the toughest tee shots you will ever play. Watch out for nasty pot bunker on the right rear flank. “This is certainly one of the best par threes I have ever played” – Nick Faldo (6 majors)

Wow, that extra distance off the Tiger Tees is just nasty!

Yep....we played it off the back tees last week.   Lucky it was a calm day

Those playing in TSC played couple of cracking par 3's at Cape Shanck, especially into breeze

attachicon.gifWP_20150921_13_43_31_Pro.jpg

The had the blue tees right up the front last week and the flag was in the right hand section of the green.

85mtrs to the flag, still couldn't hit the green!!!

Played the Old Course at The National and the 7th is a scary hole but I did manage a par from the blue tees and the breeze was into our face and if I remember it was around 130 metres to the pin. The 4th needed a good hit too over all the water.

6 iron was the club of choice and 2 putt par.

I don't know if it was because of the weather or just how bad I played but I don't remember the course....

Is 12 Southern the one with the 3 tiered green?
I reckons thats a very silly green

It sure is. Rumour has it they designed the tiers to be 1 foot each but the builders made them 1metre each.

Back tier pins are almost impossible to get at without getting a lucky bounce.

Still, it's my favourite par3 at Southern. The green on the 6th is more terrible up because you're hitting a long iron into it.
