I am just so disappointed we showed zero heart, I almost would have preferred we bowed out a game earlier than what the boys put on display on Saturday.  Hawthorn were very good, Eagles looked second rate...I kept waiting for them to come back but we just kept turning it over or spilling it in our forward 50.  There was no fight, no spirit, no pride, as a supporter I can only hope we learn from this and find the guts we need to perform on the big stage.

We have the skills, the personnel, how can it go so wrong?  How can such a talented side be outplayed all over the park?

Congrats Hawthorn.

GO EAGLES 2016!!!!

I was kind of hoping they'd have dropped out a game earlier as well...

I called it on brownlow night.

Eagles players were too tense, too uptight.

Too much emotional energy spent in the week leaves nothing in the tank come game day.

I've been away camping in Esperance for two weeks

Hawks were awesome and just smoked us like a client smoking a scuby Doo

It was a great year ...considering our injuries we had a crack and came up short

Next year we get Eric Mackenzie back ...brown back...Jetta and redden plus Duggan and lycet back from injuries too

That's 6 really top line players .....we've lost Selwood and Sinclair ...Selwood is a dud and Geelong will discover that very quickly

Sinclair was great this year but lycet has more potential .....

Go eagkes 2016

Dave bashing is regular fun for people here mug ...says more about them than it does for me.

If you're carrying a grudge about someone your letting someone live in your head rent free .....

Not normally my go to post in an AFL thread, but this one is special.

As a WCE fan Chook Norris aka Live4Golf started this thread.

He will be farewelled wearing, amongst other things, his WCE Polo shirt and WCE socks.

A pity his WCE golf bag couldn't go with him as well.

Great last three weeks by the boys

We had a brutal draw this year and am easy draw last year yet same amount of wins

We played all the top sides on the road bar north Melbourne

We had 8 yes 8 six day breaks

We've shown our best is good to very good. Looking forward to week one one v bullies next Thursday. Get through that and then on the road.

Hawks had 11 a couple of seasons 5 of which were back to back and 3 of the rest were in a back to back to back sequence

Yeah it's tough

A six day break for us is actually a five day break because of the travel

The players would be at airport two hours before ...flight 4.5 hours ...then leave airport and check in would be another hour

Times 2 ......so our six day break is five day break ...we lost to pies ...it cost us a top 4 spot

I think we can do some damage in the finals

Takes a lot out of you sitting around at an airport and on a plane.

Don't know how they do it.

Thank God they don't have any Indian umpires in the AFL, you would have missed the 8.

No doubt the loss of one of their most fanatical supporters was weighing on their minds.
