I played Henley last week.  Fairways were fair to good at best, certainly not mint.  They have local rules for releif from bare patchs.

Greens were bump, massive bare patchs, resodded partial greens, compulsory GUR and drop zones on several.

Pretty sad state of a golf course.

I played Henley recently and was actually surprised how much better it was than a month or so ago.

Fairways have never been a real issue on Henley as in my opinion they are far superior to that of other courses nearby.

But as previous mentioned the greens on most holes are a mixed bag, but again in my opinion they do run a lot truer and quick than others in the region.

Hopefully the Heritage will eventually find a new owner with deep resources and the club and courses can be restored to their former glory.

Shame what has happened and seeing the courses have deteriorated.

Use to be worth the drive to play there.

If you played pennants for Northern, who did very well last year gaining promotion to Div 2. - congrats to the club

I take all of my previous comments back, as you sir have GAME.

I would dare say that you being a pennants player would undoubtedly have a far superior right to lay judgement upon all things golf, compared to a weekend hacker like myself.

Please accept my sincerest apologies if I have muddied your good name, I can only hope to one day aspire to be a golfing god like yourself.

Good luck for the upcoming Pennants season.

Heritage has been on the market for almost a year now. The owners originally appointed a commercial real estate agent to try and lease the property. That was almost successful but fell over after the interested party decided it would take to much initial capitol to get it going again. Since then the agent has been busy negotiating with 3 buyers and something might be about to happen soon ?
