All good points Joey.

On reflection you just can’t rate a golf course after 1 round, you can give a first impression and opinion but not really rate it properly.

The beauty of RMW is that you have to play it from the green backwards and plan your strategy that way. This is what i have realised.Very similar to the Lakes in Sydney in that respect and probably most courses!

Not sure if you were inferring that i said it was easy or rubbish as I dont think i actually said that as i can certainly appreciate a great course when i play it. I was just expecting more.

To answer your question I play off 5 and was hitting it very straight and on my sat nav i was probably averaging 250 metres, so not pro long but not too far from it. I did hit 3 wood on 10, 14, 3.
Also tees were back and i had 3 eagle putts on the par 5’s.

Moonah Links is an awful course in my opinion.

Kingston Heath, NSW, Newcastle, Victoria, Old Course National, Barnbougle and Ellerston are all hard but great courses.

As i said i could grow to love RM!

Champions League you’re having a laugh…..

How did you get onto Ellerston?
