Stroke at Warra today.

A slow start with 6,7,6 (par 4s) including 3-putts on 2nd and 3rd. Settled a bit after that with no more 3-putts for the day and nine 1-putts.

Back nine started with four 1-putt pars, lipped out on the 14th for a bogey, another par on 15, bogey on 16, then blew it all apart with an 8 on the 17th.

Talking of buggared holes, on the par5 8th I managed multiple hits on 'furniture' (rubbish bin, seat, etc) and trees, all with rebounds, to finally get on the green for 8, then 1-putted for a 9 there.

52 out and 42 back in for a nett 76. A chalk and cheese day.

Vets at Casterton yesterday. Mixed bag for me too.  A birdie, a few pars and bogeys, but 8 doubles!

94/ net 74. 35 points. I didn't hit too many fairways and had to scramble to score. I would have been better served by leaving the Driver at home.

Stab at Warra today.

Good front nine including a 4-point birdie, six 1-putts, but also a 3-putt and turned on 21 points.
Back nine started with another 3-putt. But had two wipes, some 1-points and only two more 1-putts. 12 points.

After a good start, only 33 points.

Stab at Trafalgar today.

An awful front nine with a heap of wipes, driver was good but nothing else.  8 points

Back nine was better with six 1-putts but also a 3-putt.  Far more consistent. 17 points

Total of 25 points.

Monthly medal and club champs tomorrow.  I'd better get my act together.

A fun day yesterday with Wozz, Dancer and Benny at Langy.

good golf from Wozz with 3 birdies on front 9 and 36 OTS,= 21 points. he finished with 78 OTS and 34 points. he collected NTP on 12th and BDL.

Benny good to see him out the unit and back at Langy = 25 points

Dancer had more putts than a lawn mower to finish with = 24 points

myself a good solid 87 OTS = 29 points with an out at first after unexpected hook off first, then I really got the Zen twist happening for next few holes with 4 pars in a row.

finished with a Double Bogey at last after catching the 3 putt virus from Dancer. .

Mind was elsewhere as we are eagerly awaiting the arrival of a new grand baby.

Langy again tomorrow for my 2nd favourite game = PAR .

goal is no DBogeys.

Sunday is a 4 club game (5 I, 8 I ,53w and putter)  at Centenary park. good to improve my scoring.

Then off to see the super coach next week before the OOM next Sunday.

Oldies' nine hole stab at Warra this morning, back nine, playing off 18.
In points, 4 threes and 2 ones for 20 points. So I'll be off 16 for next time.
Three 1-putts, no 3-putts.

I've been starting slowly lately with awful first nine scores then coming good on the run home. So it was good to be playing ok from the start.

Regular Tues comp tomorrow, off my real h'cap of 19.

I hit 85 OTS yesterday in a 4 BBB 2 man team event. This is an example of playing stress free golf. I wasn't worried about mucking up a hole because I had a steady partner backing me up. As a result I played better golf, even when I missed fairways.

Maybe I should say it is consequence free golf. I hooked my drive into the next fairway through some towering pines. No worries, I picked out a dip in the pines and whacked my 5 W back over the trees back onto the correct fairway, knocked a 6 i onto the green and two putted for par. Had I missed the shot, my partner was potentially in a position to cover my butt.

Stroke yesterday at Southern.   Playing off 12 and the back plates...and counting putts.

Front 9 - 47 OTS

17 putts

Back 9 - 41 OTS

16 putts....with a 3 putt on the last

88 nett 76 was good enough for a BDL after "winning" the countback.   ;)

Flagged round and slight move to the handicap.

Stab at Warra today.
My theory about playing the first nine crap went out the window. With four 1-putts and no dramas, I had 19 points out.

Second nine, I had a few wayward drives, only two more 1-putts and one 3-putt wipe for 16 points.

I suppose 35 points is not so bad, but it should have been better.

No golf tomorrow, for a change.

Well done Mr X.

You could've journeyed to Warragul and lost to a journeyman from Riversdale who took our bickies with a 45.

Stab at Warra today.
Quite windy out there, causing chaos on the greens. Only three 1-putts, matched to three 3-putts.
Far too many 1-points and very few 3-points.

13 out, 14 back in, matching a 27-point which dropped off the bottom of my last 20.
